What Makes Us Different
Thoughtful care in the details that matter to families.
Every family has different priorities when choosing child care. At HCA, we focus on providing a safe and nurturing environment while also giving parents a clear understanding of what their child is experiencing throughout the day.
Screen-Free Classrooms
Children learn through real experiences
HCA classrooms are completely screen-free. Instead of televisions, tablets, or videos, children spend their time playing, building, reading, singing, dancing, exploring sensory materials, and interacting with their teachers and classmates.
Teachers also use music and singing during transitions or when children need help settling into the next part of their day.
Developmental Support
We take the time to notice how each child is progressing
Children develop at different rates, and our teachers pay attention to each child's individual progress. Families receive a formal developmental assessment annually, and teachers continue observing children throughout the year.
When a particular skill needs more practice, teachers can add supportive activities to the classroom day, including areas such as hand-eye coordination, independence, and early motor skills.
Parent Communication
You should know how your child's day is going
Teachers update Procare throughout the day, generally every hour or two, including meals and bottles, naps and diaper changes, activities and photos, mood and milestones, and teacher notes.
Enrolled families are provided private webcam access to their child's classroom. Each parent receives their own login information, which may not be shared with others.
Meals & Nutrition
Fresh food prepared for growing children
Meals are prepared on-site by HCA's kitchen team. The meal program includes breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, and dinner, with an emphasis on fresh, organic, and non-GMO foods.
As children become more independent, meals are served family-style so they can practice using utensils, try different foods, follow mealtime routines, and build confidence.
Designed to Make Family Life Easier
We know the workday does not end at pickup
HCA is designed to support busy families. Dinner is served near the end of the day so families can spend more time together after pickup without needing to prepare another meal right away.
HCA also launders family-provided bedding and uses designated eating shirts during meals to help protect children's clothing and make everyday routines easier for parents.
Clean Environment
Cleanliness is part of the way we operate every day
HCA combines daily classroom cleaning routines with added sanitation and air treatment throughout the center. UV-C technology operates while classrooms are unoccupied, and additional UV-C treatment is used in HVAC areas to support clean air circulation.
Classrooms also maintain separate areas for clean and used toys. Toys that need cleaning are removed from circulation until they are sanitized.
Sign Language & Early Communication
Giving young children more ways to communicate
Children are introduced to simple signs such as eat, more, all done, help, no, and hello during everyday routines and circle time. Teachers reinforce these words through songs, stories, conversation, and repetition throughout the day.
This helps children express their needs, build confidence, and strengthen communication skills as they grow.
